The Alpine Lab
The Alpine Lab is a personal project developed with a close friend, built around a simple idea: design thoughtful solutions for real moments outdoors. From the start, the goal was to create a brand that felt rugged and trustworthy, while remaining flexible enough to grow beyond a single product.
The Brand System
The brand was designed to feel rugged and trustworthy, without relying on hype or trend-driven aesthetics. It needed to be flexible enough to support future ideas while maintaining a clear point of view. Every decision was guided by clarity and utility, creating a foundation that could evolve naturally over time.
I built The Alpine Lab from the ground up, including naming, logo design, visual identity, color palette, typography, photography, and overall creative direction. The result is a focused brand system designed to support experimentation and problem solving, shaped by time spent outdoors and real experience.
The KikPik
The KikPik was the first product developed under The Alpine Lab, created to solve a common backcountry skiing problem. Ice and debris would build up in bindings during transitions, making it difficult to step back in, often requiring improvised and unreliable solutions.
The KikPik is a compact, purpose-built tool with an angled pick for breaking up ice and a bristle brush for clearing debris. Designed to be lightweight, ergonomic, and usable in cold conditions, it fits easily into a pocket or jacket.
I contributed to the product design, packaging, and overall brand alignment, ensuring the KikPik felt cohesive with The Alpine Lab identity. The result is a simple, functional solution shaped by real use and intentional design.
